I wish the boys were even slightly fit, but it just seems to be the wrong time of the year for that. However, what they lack in fitness they more than make up for with heart :)

Seems like 4 is the majic number. We'd normally have five, not this time though.

Everybody seems to be forgetting Ben Harnetty's team! we have 5 riders for this race and jenna Heathfield could have a very strong rider from a guy called dylan but unfortunately for you HRTC has taken him!!
Goodluck to all the other teams!
If Gaffa tape didn't fix it you obviously didn't use enough!

I certainly hope HRTC put in a good performance, especially if you're using that new fairing :)

We certainly do have him! Altho not sure how he is going to go becse we haven't had time to get him to try out the bike so his first ever ride in a pedal prix car will most probably be during the race!! I dont even know what fairing we have, I've never met the team or seen the bike before!

Congrats guys, great effort,
blueshift, great work guys, and grey shift certainly gave us a run for our money! nice to see you guys out of trouble as always
Ballistic, nice trike, i thought with sasi behind you u'd dominate, dunno whats going on there.
Phantom, seeing you guys take that corner was amazing, no wonder why you did so well
Expats, great speed, but what the f&*k went wrong with your trike?
HRTC, honestly thought ud be faster, no to be thou.
Bluebird, great effort for 3rd, you really suprised us, i thought we had you at the start, special mention to josh, great stint mate :) (oh and wally, you were caining it!)

for us, back to the shed, got a new trike on the drawing boards, hope we can biuld what we want in time, but time will only tell

great racing, bit angry bout marshalling, we got a warning for doing over walking pace as we were pulling in the pits at the cones, just as you ge tof the track, but ohwell, more lap time lost where it didnt have to be, oh and my black flag ofc :(
I rode fast once, I was chuffed.

Well we've only just got home, and a full explanation of all the things that went wrong would take longer than I have the energy for at the moment. Will write it all up in the race report in the next couple of days. In short... chain broke, chain broke, deraileur broke, back wheel fell out (repeat of MB07, damn it), destroyed chain and deraileur. No spare chain, no spare deraileur. DUSA stepped in and graciously lent us a chain and deraileur - thanks Tsco, it would have been an early finish without ya! Then proceeded ~1 hours worth of mechanical repairs (thanks to Ben Harnetty of http://www.hrtc.com.au for stepping in and assisting right when the boys were about past it all). Finally got back on the track after losing 1 hour 20 minutes. Still wasn't running right after all that, not that Steele let that stop him from belting out that 2:03 lap :D

For now I'm just having a quick browse through the 500+ photos of the race - will post a gallery when time allows later this week.

congrats to all of you. You all rode very well, well done to the Calais. They improved immensely from last year and there was no way we could have kept up the pace.

We had a disasterous start to the race, with out chain breaking 2m into the start. An hour later (after numerous problems occuring) we got started and made our way from last up the field. We were really happy with our result considering we had 4 riders, and an hour less racing time. Well done again to everyone on a great round 1!!! :D
